Our Mission:

This is a blog to document our adoption journey. After many years of infertility and heartache we feel that we are being led to parent the parentless. There are millions of children in the world that need a loving home and loving parents. After much prayer and soul searching our hearts have been drawn to Ethiopia. With the help of Children's Hope International we hope to adopt a baby boy from Ethiopia. Bourkely Zane may not be born yet but he is definantly alive in our hearts. We love him already.

We would like to thank our family and friends in advance for there support. We ask for your prayers as we embark on this long and emotional journey.

every step brings us closer to Bourkely

This friday march 11, 2011 our social worker, Molinda, is coming to our house to do our safety check of our house and complete her part of the homestudy.....we then are just waiting on the state of ohio to do there thing, a few pieces of paperwork to arrive, and the Central Immigration Service to approve our homestudy and say that we are clear to adopt from Ethiopia. We are hoping to be able to send our dossier to Ethiopia by June or July at the latest......then the eight to ten months of waiting begins. I know it seems like we have been waiting forever, but good things come to those who wait. I am praying that the next year or so goes fast and each step of the adoption process goes smoothly. God's will be done.......TaTa for now.......
